Pack a Necessities Box Before You Move
If you’re about to move into your new home, packing a box of the necessities you’ll need within the first 24 hours of your move and keeping it by your side will save you a lot of inconvenience.
What should go into this box of necessities, though? We’ve broken down the items you’ll need into categories: personal necessities, kitchen keepers, and home basics.
Personal necessities include things like medications, toiletries, towels, toilet paper, and any other personal hygiene products you may need.
Kitchen keepers are items like bottle openers, paper plates, plastic cutlery, napkins, hand soap, and whatever else you might need after you’ve sat down and ordered pizza.
Home basics include household items such as tape, scissors, a flashlight, batteries, the keys to your home, and important documents.
We’d all like to unpack our fine china after we’ve moved into our new home, but that stuff doesn’t matter during the first night. With this list, you’ll have all the items you need.
